This city is smelly. Fewer people use deodorant than in other places on this landmass. As it is the height of summer, one encounters, with regularity, the pong of underarm. But, while intense, this is also congruent with the overall feel. On the whole, this is a sensuous environment. A sensuous environment that I should not have come to for the summer.
