I have become aware that my audience can be split into two categories.
People who like it when I effortfully produce good work.
People who like that, but also just enjoy my more-or-less constant blathering.
I’ve decided that I should change things around such that I can satisfy both categories of people.
For the first group of you, I will turn the tempo down somewhat on the main newsletter. I’m going to try to shoot for two high-effort posts per week, one for members, one for non-members.
For the second group, I have resurrected an old newsletter project of mine, Notes for D’Arcy, in which I post daily notes on [some subject]. I enjoyed writing it for a few weeks when I moved to Prague, it was a way to keep track of my mind in public in a new place; kind of like a diary, but more fun, and even more self-indulgent. Then, I stopped writing it, for no reason, and my life suffered. Sign up if you would like a constant stream of bliz-blaz.
I’ve also been thinking about subscriber benefits—I had the idea that, perhaps, Founding Members could be given access to weekly office hours, basically co-working over Zoom with occasional chit-chat. Does that sound appealing to anyone? Let me know, I am counting on your input!
I look forward to continuing to meet the fabricated needs that I have created in your lives.
I am firmly in the first camp 😊 Loved the Nyx and Kali post 🐈⬛🐈⬛🥰 and the long piece about non-duality.
The Zoom office hours is a coool idea. Given how many of us are probably remotely working these days, having a zoom call for no-particular-purpose chatting could be a fun way to offset the office chatter void (especially since discussion could be WAY more interesting than the usual work stuff).
As usual, your fabrications are appreciated by the Sasha-verbiage-appreciating-shaped fabrications of my brain 🙏
