In the frame of neural annealing, I wonder what is happening in the brain with EK. Sometimes I get a really deep wave of pleasure/coherence in the body. Could it be that the energy required to keep certain emotional perspectives sequestered and dissociated, is then absorbed into the whole? There's something really useful in here, I bet, once we figure it out. The theory of vasocomputation too could probably get further fleshed out by thinking about how these dissociated self-states function.
This happened to me after a shroom trip, the lights being brighter, life feeling easier, all of it. Felt like seeing the world through the eyes of a child again and just effortlessly in flow. It lasted for weeks and I finally understood what people meant when talking about enlightenment. Then life happened, it went away, and I have been trying to find a way to make the perspective permanent just as you have described. Guess I am going to buy this book.
