This transition is fairly ubiquitous among serious meditators; the realization of non-separation is an explicit objective of many if not most schools of meditation. I don't mean to trivialize your attainment here, in fact i think it's very worthy of celebration, just wanted to emphasize that you're not at all alone in this. In the context of nondual spirituality, your experience isn't odd, rather it's the whole point.
oh yeah for sure, 'has anyone else' was more of a roll call and an invitation for discussion than a proposition that literally nobody else has ever done this
haha, I see. I was concerned because I’ve met a handful of people who’ve experienced dramatic shifts in consciousness while lacking an anchoring context / ontological structure. They tend to pathologize the experience and thus incur more suffering. Are you familiar with the whole “PNSE” scene? You may find it useful: https://slatestarcodex.com/2019/10/21/the-pnse-paper/
lots of trauma healing & integration (mdma & mushrooms) and then a heroic dose of mushrooms did the trick (though I didn’t plan that to be the outcome, haha, but I’m happy it happened).
feeling very “light” now since that moment almost a year ago.
glad for you that you’ve been able to experience the shift.

Whoa, fascinating. I would love to hear the other weird good thing!
Which Rob Burbea talks do you recommend? Looking forward to the teased post for next week
I second both parts of this. Great post!
